Don't keep your money worries to yourself

The coronavirus pandemic has affected us all in many different ways and we know that some people have been impacted financially more than others.

That’s why we introduced our flexible payment arrangements to help those customers who need it the most to manage rent payments during this difficult time.

If you’re struggling to pay your rent as a result of the pandemic, please don’t keep your worries to yourself. Keeping your home is as important to us as it is to you and we won’t take action against customers who work with us to find a solution.

Many customers have already done just that and found it a huge relief to share their concerns and get support. Here’s what just some of them had to say:

“I have had extreme problems with my housing and universal credit payments, my income officer Lynette has been extremely understanding, patient and supportive, and with her help I'm slowly getting the issue worked out. Thanks.”

“I have dealt with Simon on several occasions now and have always received a fantastic service from him. He genuinely wants to help and always goes above and beyond to resolve and help out whenever he can! He is a true credit to the company and look forward to dealing with him again in the future!”

“Thank you for your help this morning, you were very sympathetic to my problem, and you helped to get it sorted out.”

So why not give our friendly Income team a call today on 01202 319 119 and they will chat through all the ways we can help.

Big energy saving winter campaign

We recently ran a campaign on our Facebook page, full of top tips on how to save money and reduce our impact on the environment at the same time.

Don’t worry if you missed it, here’s a reminder of some easy ways to be energy saving savvy this winter:

  • Make sure you’re not missing out on free grants or discounts – take a look here for more information
  • Although they cost a bit more to buy, switching your lightbulbs to LEDs can save you up to £40 and 65kg of CO2 a year
  • Changing your energy provider could reduce your bills – you can compare prices on the Citizen’s Advice website here
  • Turning your TV off at the wall, rather than leaving it on standby, could save you around £35 a year
  • Save water by only using the dishwasher or washing machine when it’s full – and washing at a lower temperature (30 degrees) saves energy at the same time!
